The Road to Euro Serfdom

A message to Tony Blair

As you pose for photos on this day which the BBC will constantly refer to as historic, the people of the UK, whom you legally and by tradition represent, may wish you to ponder on the gravity of what you are doing.

Our traditions, our culture, our politics have through decades and centuries, evolved and changed at a pace not chosen by individuals, but by the strength of the ideas that underlie our way of life. Many leaders believed that by strength of purpose, they could change our nation. Many failed, whilst those we now honour as great were those who understood what the great British people were and what mattered to them. Leaders, enable the people to achieve what they themselves want. They do not try to force unnecessary change on an unwilling populace.”

Demeaning the Lords

According to EU Referendum We are now blessed with two new Lords, both of our present Commissioners, Kinnock and Pattern have been sent to the House of Lords, aside from the fact that some small Island in the Outer Hebrides would be a better place to send them. Do these people not have to swear allegiance to the Crown, how then will that sit with their already sworn oath of allegiance to the EU, oh and of course their allegiance to the Crown you know the one they took before the one they took to the EU the one they broke when they took the oath of allegiance to the EU.

Of course now they will be back in the British parliament, they will be working for us again, even though they will still be collecting their pension from the EU and even though to protect that pension they will have to still work for the EU. I can see it becoming very confusing for their lordships deciding which hat they are going to wear when they get up in the mornings.

The Deed is Done

On this day Tony Blair becomes the latest in a long line of British Prime Ministers who have willingly given up their power and our sovereignty to the undemocratic EU. By signing the so called EU Constitution, Blair has agreed by international treaty that he will now within two years ensure that this agreement is ratified and therefore given the force of law.

Notwithstanding the fact that he has no mandate to agree to any such thing or according to EUROPE DIRECT the definitive printed version of the text of the future Treaty will not be available before the beginning of 2005, and the fact that they are ignoring that the Constitution is not legal and does not entitle them to do anything unless it is ratified. They are not waiting for ratification before moving ahead with parts of it, with the obvious intention of presenting the electorate with a done deal by the time we get to place our votes.

Today might be a good day to consider some of the implications of Blair’s treachery to this country:

For this I am indebted to Anne Palmer who has sent me this, her well researched thoughts on the EU Constitution

The Grey Man is Back

Ex Tory leader, John Major appeared on Frost on Sunday telling us that a vote for UKIP was a vote for Labour and Conservative voters would vote for UKIP because they felt strongly about the Constitution.

No Mr Major a vote for UKIP is a vote for a party which wants to take Britain out of the EU, something you would not understand, if you felt strongly enough about what you forced on the British people with your acceptance of the Maastricht Treaty, you would hide in a corner and hang your head in shame. As you obviously do not feel any embarrassment at your actions perhaps you would do us all the service of just disappearing again, and leave the rest of us to sort out the mess you made. You had your chance, and you Mr Major have already shown where your elegance is. The fact that you are now making a plea for the Conservative party indicates that it must still be directed towards your preference of further integration in the EU.
