The Deed is Done

On this day Tony Blair becomes the latest in a long line of British Prime Ministers who have willingly given up their power and our sovereignty to the undemocratic EU. By signing the so called EU Constitution, Blair has agreed by international treaty that he will now within two years ensure that this agreement is ratified and therefore given the force of law.

Notwithstanding the fact that he has no mandate to agree to any such thing or according to EUROPE DIRECT the definitive printed version of the text of the future Treaty will not be available before the beginning of 2005, and the fact that they are ignoring that the Constitution is not legal and does not entitle them to do anything unless it is ratified. They are not waiting for ratification before moving ahead with parts of it, with the obvious intention of presenting the electorate with a done deal by the time we get to place our votes.

Today might be a good day to consider some of the implications of Blair’s treachery to this country:

For this I am indebted to Anne Palmer who has sent me this, her well researched thoughts on the EU Constitution
