On may the 29th 2005, French people will vote on the so called « European constitution ». If the vote is « Yes » it will be the end of democracy and freedom in this country, and it will be the end of France who will disappear in the EU. For the moment, millions of euros are flown to our opponents to convince French people to surrender, to abandon freedom, sovereignty and that it is desirable to leave the principle of self government and to make France to die! This is not acceptable! This is not acceptable! Who can accept that France, who as always shown the world the way to freedom, will disappear? “

Many Thanks

for petitioning on the British Declaration of Independence website. Please use the BDI at the election. Challenge Tory, Labour, Liberal Democrat candidates to sign. Write to the local press saying you won’t vote for them unless they sign. How can we vote for those who cannot even accept that our Parliament makes our laws?

Conservative Party officially rejects

British Constitution and British Parliament

We talked to the Policy Unit at Conservative Central Office. CCO said that:

1. The Conservative Party rejects the British Declaration of Independence principally because of paragraph 2 - the right of the British Parliament to ‘initiate, pass and repeal laws applied to the British people’. That is unacceptable to the Tory Party. (In other words the Party rejects a Parliament and Democracy itself not only for Britain but for the whole of the European Union as well. ‘The Tory Party is committed to the treaties signed since 1972 which contradict paragraph 2 of the BDI’.
2. The Tory Party would NOT withdraw ‘from areas where the EU Court has jurisdiction over the United Kingdom’. It would request re-negotiation of specified areas –e.g. employment, immigration, international aid and fishing.
3. The policy he was stating had been decided by Michael Howard and the Shadow Cabinet. We asked if candidates had been told NOT to sign the BDI. He replied the policy was that candidates should not sign statements which are inconsistent with Conservative policy. We stated that the BDI was entirely consistent with “in Europe but not ruled by Europe”, a sovereign independent Britain in the European Union. They said they disagreed with the BDI because it meant “withdrawal from Europe”. But the BDI does not concern itself with Europe it concerns itself entirely with British Democracy.
Therefore the Conservative Party confirms that membership of the European Union has destroyed British Democracy and that the British Parliament was replaced in 1972 by a British Assembly. The British Conservative Party confirmed that this always was and remains their intention.
The Conservative Party rejects the British Constitution. They also reject the European Constitution. Therefore they believe in NO Constitution – which means unfettered control by the politicians.
Therefore the Tory Party refutes the British constitution, rejects the terms of the Oath of Allegiance, denies Britain a Parliament, rejects the 1966 UN Convention of the Self determination of peoples (a treaty which the British Government signed) and thereby disqualifies Britain as a sovereign nation from membership of the UN.

This confirms Michael Howard’s stance that, on being elected, he will request permission (of what he recognises as a superior power, the European Union) to govern in the United Kingdom and even then in only certain areas.

The Conservative Party has been forced to produce a new “form of words” designed to fool their candidates and the British people. The BDI, by demanding they sign up to their previous “form of words” (i.e. “In Europe but not ruled by Europe”), has forced them to refute those words.

The BDI is concerned solely with the sovereignty of the British people and the status of their Parliament as a forum in which their laws are made. Our concern is the British Constitution, not the European Union – or any other Union!

This has all come as a great shock to many Conservative candidates and voters. Those candidates who have signed the BDI regardless of party pressure deserve our unstinting support. We need to do everything we can to strengthen them in the party and encourage allies to join them.

Tell others about the BDI and the Petition. (You can sign up others if they have no computer and you have their post code and permission!)

The BDI is powerful - use it.

As in the UK there has been a laissez-faire agreement about the EU among the country’s political elite. Now for the first time the Dutch people have an opportunity to speak up about Europe. As usual when they are forced to allow a voice of the people, the Elites find that their values have to face the reality of democratic choice more »”

We control tax and social security

In other words the advocate General has said that Companies whose subsidiaries make a loss overseas, can put that loss against their profits in the this country, this will of course reduce their overall tax. The problem is that companies, whose subsidiaries make a profit overseas, cannot be taxed by the UK Treasury so, this one sided opinion would mean a constant flow away from the treasury.

In Europe, we have no peers
by Eurealist on April 10, 2005 07:35AM (BST)

Knowing how reluctant the Tories are to mention “Europe”, and following the Howard Flight debacle, it is most unlikely that any Tory spokesman would dare raise such explosive issues in this election.

So we can anticipate these two most recent EU related aspects of our loss of power both as a people and as a nation, not to even be part of the agenda when it comes to voting for our Westminster parliamentarians, I suppose that is to be expected, when they are elected they do not run the country anyway, as is clear the real government is in Brussels.

Nothing in the Treaty would, for example, materially affect the general principles of the law of contract or tort or its Scottish equivalent, land law, the relations of landlord and tenant, housing, town and country planning, matrimonial law, or the law of inheritance. The constitutional rights and liberties of the individual such as habeas corpus and the presumption of innocence will, of course not be affected;”

“What does it mean to be Anti-European?

Eurealist :: Main Page: “What does it mean to be Anti-European?
by Eurealist on April 6, 2005 02:33PM (BST)
No longer does the term Anti-European mean the opposite of Pro-European, well it might if those who support the EU did not insist on claiming the word European to mean the European Union. It is this contention that European and The European Union are interchangeable terms, which is the basic cause of the problem.

The Beano Agency

The Beano Agency

A new “Fundamental Rights Agency” to police European Union institutions and national governments for signs of racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination is being set up by the EU Commission.

It is to be based in Vienna, will have a mandate to monitor and “issue opinions” on whether rights enshrined in the proposed new European constitution are being protected. The agency will incorporate an existing EU “Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia” in Vienna.

Its mandate will be restricted to monitoring EU laws and their implementation by member states.

Yet already we are being warned that this new agency will widen its own mandate to investigate other subjects such as such domestic violence against women.

This agency will be the power base for the EU “Charter of Fundamental Rights” ensuring that the Charter we were told by Keith Vas, the then Europe Minister, would have no more legal effect than the Beano, becomes an enforceable bond.  As the EU Constitution will give the EU new powers over justice and security matters, it can be expected that the “Fundamental Rights Agency” will take its place in the plethora of EU enforcement agencies.

Apparently: “The agency’s aim will not be blaming and shaming a particular member state it will be to stimulate, to persuade and to suggest, if necessary, some changes.” That is what we are being told now but it is a sure bet that at some point this agency will be given teeth, this is the way the EU operates firstly it announces some new concept which is put in place it then gradually adds powers and responsibilities to that agency. The British Government broadly supports the agency, as long as its advice is “non-binding” and its main focus is “gathering information and advising on good practice. That will bring comfort to anyone worried about even more transfer of power from our elected representatives to Brussels unaccountable autocracy, unless of course they also remember Keith Vas and the Beano.

Fixed Penalty challenge
