Question Time

Something about question time has been niggling at the back of my mind since Thursday evening, It is clear that the pro-constitution argument is going to revolve around the two basic lies that MacShane was allowed to get away with, that the constitution gives more power to the nation states, and makes the EU more democratic, both of these are demonstrable incorrect. It is also clear that Margot Wallström in her Terezin speech, was heralding another thread to the commissions propaganda, that a rejection of the Constitution will lead to Nazi’s and racists marching on the streets of Europe.

What has been niggling me is something else; all the panel on Question Time agreed that presenting a united front on foreign policy will not work, because foreign policy will be agreed by unanimity. This being the case, then would it not be expected that in a few years time, there will moves to increase the authority of the EU by removing the unanimity clause, to me this seems to be the logic of the MacShane argument.
