EU Websites User Survey 2005
EU Websites User Survey 2005
A few words about this survey
This survey is part of my PHD thesis regarding the EU’s public diplomacy strategy online and its use of the Internet to promote a European public sphere.
In particular, I am examining the following three official EU websites:
* EUROPA, http://europa.eu.int/
* EURUNION, http://www.eurunion.org/
* EU @ UN, http://www.europa-eu-un.org/
As part of my research fieldwork, I have been talking to officials within the Commission and the European Parliament regarding these issues, and now I would like to find out what you, the users, think of the above three websites and the way the Commission communicates with you through these websites.
I will be using the feedback I get from you in order to evaluate the theories regarding the possibility of a European public sphere and also to formulate recommendations regarding the EU’s public diplomacy strategy in the future.
Your feedback would, therefore, be of great value to my research and would contribute significantly to the debate regarding the European public sphere.
If you have visited any of the above websites recently, please help by filling in this survey.
If you are not a regular user of the above websites, please follow the links above and visit one or more of these websites- 10 minutes will be long enough!- and then complete this survey.
Please note that the questionnaire is completely anonymous and it is not possible to indentify individuals by the answers.
Completing the questionnaire should take no more than about 5 minutes- there are no right or wrong answers to any of the questions!
Please send any questions or comments regarding this survey to:
Your contact details and any other information you may include in your email will be treated in absolute confidentiality and will not be passed on to third parties.
Thank you very much for your help!
