What is Jack Straw doing tomorrow?

Today Jack Straw, Secretary for Justice, is consulting throughout the country on a statement of values that define British citizenship and on the case for a full British bill of rights and duties setting out rights and obligations for all citizens.

Is he going to be using the telephone ; internet or has Santa loaned him his sleigh? and can anyone tell what time he will be arriving our village I want to make sure he gets our views.

After Horse has Bolted

The British Prime Minister waxing lyrical about a United Kingdom, in the Telegraph perhaps he and his party should have thought about that before they constructed this asymmetrical mess of the British constitution.

But when secessionist forces are loudly at work it is not the time for silence and passivity. We must be resolute in defending the Union and argue against those who put it at risk.

I think Mr Brown that many of us were resolute in the defence of the Union but were ignored by your party when you forced your regionalisation policies on us, it is those very policies that have created a central voice and platform for secessionist forces.

Mr Brown has also changed his tune in 1998 he signed the following declaration which has become know as the Scottish Claim of Right:

We, gathered as the Scottish Constitutional Convention, do hereby acknowledge the sovereign right of the Scottish people to determine the form of Government best suited to their needs, and do hereby declare and pledge that in all our actions and deliberations their interests shall be paramount.

So the British Prime Minister, who believes in the Nations of Scotland and Wales but wants to divide the rest of the country into separate regions, has taken a public oath that in all his actions his overriding concern will be the interests of the Scottish people. On top of that Mr Brown has apparently forgotten Northern Island ,as he did not mention that part of Britain it leaves one wondering.
