Lisbon Treaty Infection Spreads

Only in Brussels would the word Democracy by synonymous with an infectious disease; after the French and Dutch voted against the Constitution the series of referendums was halted to prevent the infection of rejection spreading to other countries. With the single exception of Luxemburg perhaps the most pro EU state where there was a massive lead for the yes vote was the referendum still allowed to continue, and those states which were not allowing their citizens a vote of course still continued to ratify in the hope of keeping the constitution on course.
After being confronted with an unexpected plague of democracy the EU leaders have rewritten the treaty and reintroduced the constitution under a different name,(Lisbon Treaty) this time though there was a concerted effort to prevent the democracy syndrome getting in the way.
Unfortunately for them the “poorly people” (obviously infected by democracy) who wrote the Irish Constitution put a clause in it that the constitution may only be amended by referendum.
The Irish people have therefore the distinction of being the only citizens in the whole of the Union to be allowed to vote on the changes to their constitution that the Lisbon Treaty will generate.
Yet once again an epidemic of democracy has posed problems for the EU constitution as the Irish infection has resulted in yet another rejection.
But after consideration it has been decided that the Irish scourge will be contained by attempting to isolate the democracy to just this one area of the EU body treating it with medicines before it is forced to take another examination.
The diagnosis on the reasons for the outbreak in the Ireland we are told had been lack of information, lack of influence, social/ethical issues, threat to worker’s rights, taxation issues and neutrality.
So far the isolation is working quite well, a prescription for the medicines have been written and the re -examination been set. It will not be possible to actually administer the medicine until after the examination as that would mean a totally new treaty would have to be agreed and then ratified in all states. So the Irish will be asked to vote on the treaty as it stands with a promise of medicine to come.
But there are one or two problems still outstanding and some evidence that the disease is showing signs of spreading.
There are some challenges in the German constitutional court but it looks like these will be contained, meanwhile the Polish president has reiterated that he will not isolate the Irish and will hold back on ratifying until he sees if the promised medicines will have the desired effect of eradicating democracy in Ireland.
But worse the Czechs are now saying they want the Irish medicines to be available in all member states otherwise it will be very difficult to ratify.

Pleace vote for democracy and against the treaty of lisbon
Dear irish people!
Pleace stop the treaty of lisbon! Is is antidemocartic, militaristic, antisocial. The disadvantages are much bigger, than the advantages. The EU can live with its actuell laws. They should only be changed into a democratic direction. With the treaty of lisbon, the european council is able to change this treaty in great parts without asking the parliament. This is nearly the same law, which mades the nationl- rassistic- party of Germany so powerfull in our country in the year 1933. Our basic law (the german constitution) and all other european constitutions should not be replaced by the treaty of lisbon. But the new treaty tries to bring all right- sytstems in a lower level than the new european right. Here is my informationpage: http://sites.google.com/site/euradevormwald/english . When you have some more english information, pleace send me a link or text or write it into the visitors book of my page. And pleace spread this text all over Ireland.
