Inspired by Clause 61 of Magna Carta. August 2008 Anne Palmer
We were denied a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty. If you want to save your Country, then take the only chance you may have to ‘right that wrong’ and use your vote at the next European Parliament Elections to put fear into the hearts of the EU and fear into the hearts of our own British politicians so much so they may change their idea of wanting to remain in the EU to getting out, for they may lose their ‘seat’.
I am also interested in reaching all those people that do not vote in European Parliamentary elections. I do not usually vote in EU Parliament elections because I chose not to ‘recognise’ their Parliament for we have -or had= an active one of our own once! So this time I WILL VOTE to fill the place with those that will fight for their Country’s freedom once more. To perhaps put a spoke in the total integrationists wheels. I include those countries that many of their people want out too. We all have contacts abroad, so maybe the message could be spread to those other countries that were denied a referendum they too wanted? I understand that the EU Commission is afraid that the EU Election may be used as the referendum all, except Ireland, were denied. Let us not disappoint them for it was that expression that gave me a nudge.
This is the first part of acknowledging Clause 61 Magna Carta. It is a lawful peaceful fight once more that the people have to win. The coming of the second Glorious Revolution?
One of Sir Edward Coke’s greatest contributions to the law was to interpret Magna Carta apply not only to the protection of nobles but also to all subjects of the crown equally, which effectively established the law as a guarantor of rights among all subjects against even Parliament and the King. He famously asserted: “Magna Carta is such a fellow, that he will have no sovereign”.
The people have a vote in the European Parliament, so if everyone that votes, votes for a Pro-British Party, or those that are usually called an alleged Eurosceptic, (AND I WILL BE VOTING FOR UKIP) THAT will send a very important message that without the people behind them, their project will fail. The people of every separate Country should have had a referendum on the Treaty of Lisbon and the Commission and the Heads of State knew that very well, they chose to deny the people having their voices heard yet they claim to be a democracy! Why not use this coming EU election as a starter because MEP’s can only speak in that Parliament for about 90 SECONDS before the mike is cut off, so what are the people going to miss eh?
Have any one of YOU felt that putting a Conservative, Lib/Dem or Labour person in the EU Parliament has REALLY made any difference to any of your lives except for paying THEIR WAGES and Vast Expenses? Has their presence helped to PREVENT the burden of endless EU Legislation? Wasn’t there enough opposition to it? This is the only (peaceful) way the people will have of MAKING THEIR VOICES HEARD-THROUGH THE BALLOT BOX THAT YOU WERE DENIED AT ‘LISBON’. MAKE IT HAPPEN BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE, IT REALLY IS IN YOUR HANDS TO DO IT BY PLACING YOUR CROSSES ON A SLIP OF PAPER. I have heard enough of “working on the inside to change things”, some have had 50 years to change things, and all we have had is deeper and more meaningful integration.
I have no idea what name ‘Eurosceptic’ Political Party’s go by on the Continent, but the people that are living in those Countries do. They, as well as we should also remember it was not one Eurosceptic Party that misled, (some say lied) and deliberately denied the people their right to have a say on the constitutional Treaty of Lisbon. The “Eurosceptics” or Pro-British Political Parties here in the UK have never ratified one EU Treaty yet, yet those that did, still pick up the same pay as if they were instigating all our laws. Remember that too.
As there is a list system for EU elections make sure the MEPs voted for are definitely EU-sceptic. In these elections we will be voting for a political party, not a person, we will have to vote for a known EU-sceptic political party. Voting Tory because they pretend to be EU-sceptical is not enough, many of their MEPs vote pro-EU over there in the EU parliament and talk anti-EU over here.
I do not belong to any political party or organisation; I never have belonged to one and never will in the future. I just want freedom and liberty for our Country once more and our own longstanding constitution, not a foreign one. Temporary Governments have no mandate to give our country away to foreigners to govern.
I will never (knowingly) do anything against the law and so our Common Law Constitution of which Magna Carta and our Bill of Rights 1688/9 are part must be put to good use before this present Government destroys them. There is after-all, no point in having EITHER if they are not put to good use. They were once the envy of the world, so much so that some countries copied them. Up until now, just ‘being there’ in the background has been sufficient although we did fight to keep them in two World Wars rather than being governed by such as Hitler. The time has come to work together, as we did in the last war, with others, but never giving up our Rights or Freedoms to dictatorship and the intrusion into almost every area of our private lives that is suggested at present. The PEOPLE’S time is coming and that time is June 2009, time enough to spread the word.
When it has been suggested, for the very first time in the history of our Country, that our National Security should be coordinated/integrated into the EU, I could hardly believe that any British Government would seriously go along with this idea. Had any of our security measures been given to foreigners in the last war, the person or persons would have been and indeed were charged with TREASON. The penalty then was death by hanging and that way at least they could never do that treasonous act again.
We here in the UK want a future Government that can truly govern, for, and in the interests of the whole of the United Kingdom. Work with other Countries yes, but never be governed by them forever (which is what we are talking about here) in every area that we vote and pay our own politicians to do.
Magna Carta was my inspiration for this action, our Constitution that Government would like us to forget. Make it happen-make your vote work for you and your country-you may not get another chance. We have a duty to do, let us do it.
